nowgeekthisConstantine, airing on NBC on Fridays at 10:00PM, is based on the DC comic book character John Constantine and stars Matt Ryan as the title character.  Unlike DC’s other shows, Arrow, The Flash, or even Gotham, Constantine is not a superhero show, but instead deals with the darker occult side of the DC universe.

John Constantine is an exorcist, demon hunter, and “master” of the dark arts, who has been damned to hell and spends his last days on earth reluctantly defending humanity from the forces of darkness.
