The History of Bad Ideas, Ep. 156–The 3rd Annual Floppy Awards!

The History of Bad Ideas, Ep. 156–The 3rd Annual Floppy Awards!

It’s finally here!  The 2016 Floppy Awards presented by the HOBI Gang and a very distinguished selection committee roundtable award the very best and worst in pop culture for 2016!  The roundtable decides that Kevin James deserves a Floppy but not in a good way while Gotham tries to defy the odds and win a third Floppy for Best Superhero Television Show!  Scab Jeff is a little less tipsy this episode but is quite angry at being shunned out of every Floppy category, even best zombie book on the Titanic!  HOBI’s podcast friends from Dark Angels and Pretty Freaks, Green Up, Graphic Novice, Pittsburgh Nerd, and Gotham Lights along with Dev the Sci Guy and the chaps at 365 Flicks Podcast help alleviate the stress of the roundtable by presenting their own Floppy categories! Stay till the end as the prestigious Canadian of the Year is voted on and goes down to the wire with a possible dark horse candidate winning! This episode is sponsored by the Cincinnati Comic Expo!

143 Kubo Fights Typhoons in a Tugboat with Donatello

143 Kubo Fights Typhoons in a Tugboat with Donatello

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!
It’s another great week for hearing some audio from the Kansas City Comic Con (KCCC). This week we’ll hear from Jeremy Howard who plays Donatello in the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle films, and Fred Ottman, WWE LEGEND!
Before all of that though, I have a review of the new film Kubo and the Two Strings. This new stop motion film looks beautiful, but does it have the heart to compete with our friends at PIXAR and Disney Animation?
Eddie Murphy has a new film on the way, and I’ve got the trailer to talk about in the Neverland Trailer Park. I think he could be working his way toward an Oscar!
And while we are enjoying some fun with fairy tales, how about we take a listen to The Black Cauldron during our Neverland Story Time!

Now Geek This: A Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

nowgeekthisIn this edition of Now Geek This I will be reviewing the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which I will from this point forward refer to as the Turtles moive.  Turtles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and stars Megan Fox and Will Arnett with the voice talents of Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Johnny Knoxville as the titular turtles.

I must admit that this is one of the hardest reviews I have had to write because I have not cared much about this movie from the beginning, and seeing the movie has done nothing to change that fact. More
