Now, to Mighty Marvel Geekness, SDCC2016 style! Mike kicks off the show with what has been seen and what we hope to see come from Marvel. With much to be discussed from there, Kylan jumps in with the trailer for Luke Cage  and the teasers for Iron Fist and The Defenders. So much epic goodness!! From there, the Trio had to eat some crow and embrace the fact that Ghost Rider is coming to Season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It did not tase good at all…but it may bode well for the series. Mike then shared more awesome SDCC news in the form of a major classic character returning to their own series! Then, Kylan finished the news off with some upcoming coloring books that will lock your weekends down!! Where did we loose control?

The fellows, same as always then take a trip to the comic shop for the P.O.W.(Picks of the Week). The Eric is up for the Marvel Unlimited P.O.W.!!

117 Star Wars, and Dragons, and Cars…OH MY!

117 Star Wars, and Dragons, and Cars…OH MY!

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!
Dragons and comics and Cars…OH MY…..DISNEY!
This week’s Neverland Podcast is so packed full of goodness I wasn’t sure exactly where I wanted to begin! But then it hit me…STAR WARS! We were given quite a treat last Sunday as Harrison Ford himself gave us another peak at the Star Wars experience coming to Disney Parks! There was also an announcement for a new pricing plan and a brand new ride coming to Cars Land in Disney’s California Adventure!
Pixie Heather and Pan Jeremy went to see “Eddie the Eagle”, a movie that feels like Disney, even if it wasn’t released by them. Naturally they are both hear to share their thoughts in a review before we ski over to the Neverland Trailer Park.
Lost Boy Phill joins The Pan to share our thoughts about the new teaser for the re-imagined Pete’s Dragon. We have some fond memories of this Disney classic film which leaves some very high expectations for this new film.
In movie news, WB just dropped a very interesting piece of news in light of the hard R rated hit, Deadpool. Will this effect our movie watching experience in the future?
And finally, Lost Boy Eric takes us deep into Cars Land for a rip-roarin’ ride on Radiator Springs Racers!

116 Marvel and DC Movies with Dale from D-Cast

116 Marvel and DC Movies with Dale from D-Cast

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!
It’s time to return to the Marvel Universe, and in a decidedly more cinematic venture!
But first we’ll take some time to visit the Neverland Trailer Park to take a look at PeeWee’s Big Holiday, and Netflix exclusive movie which features the triumphant return of PeeWee Herman!
This week in the Neverland Story Time we’ll enjoy the classic tale from Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks. This is a fun tale of a good witch-to-be still learning the basics who takes some kids on a fun journey on a magical bed!
Lost Boy Eric sent us some more great audio from Disneyland, and this time he’s hanging around in Cars Land to take a ride with his daughter on Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree!
Next we’re joined by Dale Wentland from the D-Cast! He’s here to talk about the history of comic book films from Marvel and DC and we’ll look ahead to what’s coming up next. He’s got some interesting opinions on the current MCU and developing DCCU that you’ll enjoy!

This week the NWGLS gang go back in time, to when they didn’t have good equipment to record on. The studio took a crap so we used a 4 track that we found laying around to make sure we got this podcast to you!

This week is a short podcast for the reason stated above. We intended on recording a NWGLS Wednesday Short all about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but that may have to wait till we get the studio back up in going. So disregard when you hear us talk about it in the podcast!
Thanks for bearing with us guys!

Now Geek This Reviews Avengers: Age of Ultron

nowgeekthisIn this edition of Now Geek This, I will be reviewing a movie you may have heard of called Avengers: Age of Ulton.  Age of Ultron is the sequel to the 2012 mega Marvel hit Avengers, and the latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Age of Ultron is directed by the incomparable genius, Joss Whedon, and stars a cavalcade of stars reprising their Marvel roles, including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Chris Hemsworth as the thunder go Thor, as well as a few new characters such as the Scarlet Witch played by Elisabeth Olson, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver.  Of course, let’s not forget the amazing James Spader as the voice of the titular villain, Ultron.

The real question regarding this movie is whether it is a brilliant sequel, like Empire Strikes Back or Godfather II, or does is suffer the fate of so many inferior movie sequels?  Read on to find out True Believer! More

Now Geek This: Marvel Movie Madness!

nowgeekthisIt is a good time to be a Marvel fan.  As a longtime comic book reader, and a huge Marvel fan going back to my childhood days, it has always been a dream of mine to see my favorite Marvel superheroes on the big screen.  For the first half of my life, that dream seemed impossible.  Marvel’s rival, DC comics had a couple of good movies under their belt starring their biggest characters like Superman and Batman, yet Marvel had nothing to offer their fans  but failed attempts or cheesy interpretations of their characters.

Why You Should Be Reading – The Punisher: War Zone

79f2I guess I should’ve titled this “Why You Should Have Read” since this is a story from last year, but I just read it again and I still love it.  Following the events of Greg Ruckas 16 issue run simply titled ‘The Punisher”, Rucka’s War Zone is a 5 issue mini series which is best sold by its tag line:  The Punisher vs. The Avengers.
