The History of Bad Ideas Podcast, Ep. 203–Jesus Goes to War!

Jeanie, formerly of the Salty Language Podcast, joins HOBI to talk her disdain of Riverdale, her love of Toledo and what’s it like to be married to a bearded adonis!  Jason is intrigued by Amazon’s adaptation of The Boys, Jeff, thanks to a great fan, got a Playstation 4 and Jeanie gives her recommendation for Thanksgiving week fun.  The gang find out they have enough pull in the industry to make EA change their payment system on Star Wars Battlefront Two, well in theory, and Jim starts his binge watching of Wynonna Earp!  The crew list their Top 5 Inaction Films, which is left up to a wide range of interpretation and Bryan from Salty Language helps make the Bad Idea of the Week! This episode is sponsored by the Cincinnati Comic Expo.  Don’t forget to subscribe to our podcast!

    Coin Operated 189: California Love

    California Love

California is where Cody came back from his trip. He went to have fun at Disneyland especially on Mr. Toads’ Wild Ride. He also walked in the Super Hero Races being held that weekend.

The main draw of Disneyland compared to Disney World is the older rides and the more compact park. He really enjoyed how everything was in a smaller space and the seamless blend of each land.

    Beer and Brian

While Cody was in California, Brian stuck around in Orlando and got his beer on for the Orlando Beer Fest. He got the VIP to be able to drink early and enjoy some of the best beers before they ran out. His favorite Beer was a Peanut butter and chocolate Porter and he hated the #whitegirlwasted pumpkin spice.

    Justice League and Battle Front

We liked Justice League but hate EA. Like everyone else we joined the hating EA bandwagon. We talk about how EA a publicly traded company could care less about upsetting people and because they only answer to their stock holder.

Justice League was great. We enjoyed the movie because it was a pretty simple Super Hero Flick.

                  2 Weeks

Its been 2 weeks since we have recorded a usable episode. The last one we recorded was from a live stream and it was too much for Brian to edit.

                  Horror Night

We talk haunted houses and how Brian did all 9 and Cody only managed 8. Bill and Ted was a let down.

The best house over all was a Original House and so was the worse House.

Cody is going to California to run or walk and then get picked up by the cops for going too slow in a Disney Race.  Also Check out DW:60 they seem really cool and talk about Disney World.

After a few weeks off, Brian and Cody catch up with all the out of control fandoms. We start off on 10/29 with the madness of the SNES Classic release. After that it was out to Tampa for MegaCon and beer. Brian enjoyed and reviewed his experience for that weekend including the can’t miss Jay and Silent Bob Get Old.

                                Fandom Hell

One of the themes we noticed at Megacon Tampa and in general was the amount of Funko Pop and Rick & Morty things everywhere. McDonald’s released the fabled Szechuan Sauce and the Rabid Rick & Morty fans went crazy. They are not a smart fan base.
