Mighty Marvel Geeks 173: Your Friendly Neighborhood Marvel Geeks

Your Intrepid Trio has returned with another broadcast filled with more Marvel news for your ears! The show begins with a heartfelt memorial to Joan Lee, Stan Lee’s wife headed up by Eric. Kylan then follows with a late breaking story about an injured Jeremy Renner. Will it affect Avengers: Infinity War? Mike follows up with a piece about what three MCU movies must you see before seeing Spider-Man: Homecoming. The article creates an interesting discussion for the team. Do you agree? Mike then segues into an article about a scene that was in the trailer, but not in the movie and why. This, too, spills over into the prevalence of trailers and geek culture’s obsession with them. Kylan follows with a story about the five movie story arc for Peter Parker. Pete has quite a road ahead of him, it seems. Mike finishes the movie news with an article about the future for Blade in the MCU. Eric then finishes the news segment with a piece about Captain America being called out by another comic company. Fall is going to be kinda hot, it seems! The guys then take it to the comic shop for their P.O.W.(Picks Of the Week) and Kylan has the Marvel Unlimited POW.

Mighty Marvel Geeks 171: Figures With John Tyler Christopher

This week, the Intrepid Trio invites Marvel Comics artist John Tyler Christopher into the Above-Ground-Underwater-Volcano-Lair. John talks about what the action figure variants have meant to him as an artist and the guys talk about what it means for them as fans. The talk then goes into his work on other Marvel books and characters that he really enjoy as a comic fan. From there the guys go to the comic shop for their (P.O.W.) Picks Of the Week!

Mighty Marvel Geeks 160: Slow Gets You Pulled Pork

Your Intrepid Trio is on cocked, locked, and ready to rock you with that Mighty Marvel News that you need! The show starts with a Kylan Rant. This is more or less a continuation from a story last week tied to the first four episodes of Marvel’s Iron Fist that he had watched. Mike and Eric join in and, be warned, they all take it there. Mike then follows up the rant with an article about how the show runner was not aware of the controversy of Finn Jones being cast as Danny Rand. They guys all have their say on this one, too! The news then moves to the MCU with an interesting article about how Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo were worried that they may have been fired when Thor and Hulk did not appear in Captain America: Civil War. Kylan then keeps it in the MCU with a piece about Chris Evans leaving the Living Legend behind after Avengers: Infinity War. He gives some great reasons and although we’ll hate to see him go, it is a great run! The news then moves to comics with Mike sharing an article about Jeff Lemire leaving Marvel. It seem like there’s a lot to this story, give it a listen and tell us what you think. Eric then wraps up the news segment with an article about the upcoming mega event Secret Empire and what it’ll mean for Marvel. Ultimately, we all agreed that we were tired of the nonstop crossover events. It has become too much. From there we talked about our POW(Picks Of the Week)!

Do you agree?  Kylan the segues from talking about the series to the prominent role Iron Fist has played in all of the Marvel games. And, in light of Power Man and Iron Fist ending, marvel is spinning Danny Rand off into his own series Iron Fist on March 22nd.
