        Throne of Smut

                Coin Operated 183: The Few

                Coin Operated 183: The Few

This weeks episode is brought by the word The Few.

We talk about how much hell it was for people to try and obtain the Pre-Order for the Super NES Classic. The Few of them that were available were made difficult to obtain because of the Bots and the random release time. Best Buy and Amazon did it in the wee hours of the morning and the other around 1pm EST. ToysRUs did no pre orders and is doing first come first serve.

The next thing that was limited in our neck of the woods were eclipse glasses. These are needed to see the once in a lifetime event of a total eclipse. We tried to secure one and sadly had to bum some off of people to get the this eclipse. Orlando only got a partial eclipse. So at least we got that going for us.

We talk about one of the Few new characters that were announced for Injustice 2 and Brian loves their intro video. Its a Dark Horse Character with the hand of Hell.

                Review time!

Brian reviews The Few from Image comics(https://imagecomics.com/comics/series/the-few):

The Few opens up with a woman running through the woods bleeding while holding a baby in her arms wearing a gas mask. This opening spread sets the overall tone of the book and shows that nothing is going to be normal.

Beyond the concept image of Eden Hall holding a baby, The Few is another dystonia future we have seen before from multiple different comics that goes in a circle with no clear focus or idea and is a bland story from the art to the words. It kept jumping around with the theme and didn’t help set overall tone of development for the characters.

Sadly this comic failed to find a voice and have the great characters potential fall because of lack of execution on their development and style.

                Score for The Few:

                4 out of 10

                    Kong: Skull Island Non-Spoiler Review!

                    Kong: Skull Island Non-Spoiler Review!

                    Written by Jason Brigger

                    Director: Jordan Vogt-Roberts

Writers: Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein, Derek Connolly, and John Gatins

Starring: Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Brie Larson

Kong: Skull Island marks the triumphant return of King Kong to the theater for the first time since 2005 when Peter Jackson thought it was a good idea for a giant ape to ice skate with a damsel in distress, much to the chagrin of critics and audiences everywhere.  This Kong doesn’t have time for ice skating or long walks around New York City because he’s got to protect his home from underground lizard hybrids, birds that can saw a man in half and even humans who feel Kong would look good over their mantle.

Kong: Skull Island is set in the year 1973, or more accurately the very day that America was pulling out from the Vietnam War, and the last chance for secretive agency of Monarch (from Godzilla) and scientist Bill Randa (John Goodman) to talk the U.S. government into a “mapping and navigation” mission on an uncharted and until just recently, unknown island in the South Pacific.  Randa recruits a tracker named James Conrad (Tom Hiddleston), photographer Mason Weaver (Brie Larson), and military leader Preston Packard (Samuel L. Jackson) and his fellow soldiers to complete his mission but unknown to everyone but Randa, a giant ape has other plans.  After Kong strikes down every helicopter in the squad, the survivors must navigate the dangers of the island to reach their rendezvous point in three days to get off a literal Hell on Earth.

My plans are nearly complete at Scott and Tracey from Disney Indiana have arrived in Evil-Land to hunt for the Spider-Pan Jeremy. They get a bit lost in a memory about The Little Shop of Horrors, both the Roger Corman horror comedy and the 1986 musical with surprising Disney connections.
While they’re daydreaming, I’ll make my move. Your not so friendly Ghost Host will soon rule all!

It seems that Jeremy has found a way to send messages from where I’m holding him, and he’s got some news and movie trailers to share involving Wolverine, Tangled, Jack Sparrow, and Power Rangers. I’ll make hum suffer for this outrage.
Next it is our mutual delight to share with you some frightful fun from a 1995 McDonald’s Happy Meal Halloween cassette! I know you are afraid of clowns, so here’s Ronald McDonald to scare the pixie dust out of you! HA HA HA HA HA HA!

However, I’m interrupted as Jeremy’s wife, Pixie Heather has arrived in Evil-land searching for him. She’s going to bring you some news from around “Neverland” involving Muppets and Pirates.
