    Look who’s joined us, mateys! It’s me own wife, the WendyNerd Heather. Aye, mateys, this week we’re talkin’ about plundering that be goin’ on for 50 years it were. Pirates of the Caribbean has been open in Disneyland for 50 years, and we’re going to have some fun celebratin’!

    We be headin’ ashore me hearties, first to look at a new trailer for PIXAR’s Coco and a heap of Disney news for your booty!

    And if I can just lose the pirate speak for a bit…it’s a tale as old as time we’re reviewing this week! Beauty and the Beast has exploded into cinemas this week and Heather and I have seen along with many of you. So, what did we think? Does it live up to the classic 1991 film? We’ll share our thoughts!

        WOW! Did we ever have a great week from trailers! Not only did we get new trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, but we got a great look at the upcoming DuckTales series from Disney XD!
        After spending all that time in the trailer park, it’s time to spend a little time with the original Red Power Ranger, Austin St. John! You know I’m not a fan of Power Rangers, but this man has had an incredible life and I think you’ll enjoy this recording as much as I enjoyed being at his panel years ago!

                  The History of Bad Ideas, Ep. 156–The 3rd Annual Floppy Awards!

                  It’s finally here!  The 2016 Floppy Awards presented by the HOBI Gang and a very distinguished selection committee roundtable award the very best and worst in pop culture for 2016!  The roundtable decides that Kevin James deserves a Floppy but not in a good way while Gotham tries to defy the odds and win a third Floppy for Best Superhero Television Show!  Scab Jeff is a little less tipsy this episode but is quite angry at being shunned out of every Floppy category, even best zombie book on the Titanic!  HOBI’s podcast friends from Dark Angels and Pretty Freaks, Green Up, Graphic Novice, Pittsburgh Nerd, and Gotham Lights along with Dev the Sci Guy and the chaps at 365 Flicks Podcast help alleviate the stress of the roundtable by presenting their own Floppy categories!                     Mighty Marvel Geeks 150: 2016 Mighty Marvel Geeks Non-Awards

                    Settle in everyone!! It is time for the Mighty Marvel Geeks Non-Awards for 2016!! Where did all the time go? The Intrepid Trio is joined by John Donahue of the Dis Parks Podcast and Dale Wentland of the D-Cast to discuss and debate the nominees and winners. This year’s catagories were expanded to include Best New Title, Best Netflix Series, and Best Crossover Event. There were some surprises, some dark horses, and some obvious winners. Let’s just say that a book being cancelled is not the kiss of death if the quality is there!! The one thing that was plain to see was that Marvel did it big in 2016 and we can only expect to see more of the same in 2017! Give the show a listen and let us know what you think.                       This week on We Be Geeks: We Be Geeks is celebrating 200 episodes! This is no small adventure. Mike has fearlessly been the leader for 200 awesome episodes. Through changes and milestones, he has kept this podcast going. We received some really awesome blurbs from past guests, and they are so great. We appreciate all the guests that took the time to do that. It has been a great time and we look forward to 200 more episodes! This also marks the 2nd annual We Be Awards. Joining us to help celebrate and answer the hard questions is Ken, Kylan, Vickie and Dawn from the Geek Watch One podcast. As we have a round table discussion on all the choices we voted on, things sometimes get off track, and hilarity ensues. We pick not only best comics, but the best TV shows, video games, movies as well as subscription boxes.  It was great to have these guys and gals on again, and there may or may not have been some Channing Tatum craziness. It’s always a great time when they are on and we are so happy to have them. Thank you to all our guests and thank you to Geek Watch One for joining us as we hit another milestone.
